What we’re about
Welcome to the International Volunteers for WWF Switzerland Meetup! We are a group of English speaking individuals living in Switzerland who are passionate about supporting the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF).
This group was formed because we noticed a large number of volunteers who were eager to support WWF in Switzerland, and felt more comfortable communicating in English. All of our groups and meetings are in English. We are here to work alongside the other WWF groups, but also host events of our own. Of course, if you speak German/Swiss German/any other language, you are more than welcome to join us!
We host a wide variety of events, from rescuing migratory birds, to having an expert talk to us about solar energy, to learning about species and ecosystems... to just hanging out! We are open to your input and ideas, or even developing your own projects. Our events take place mostly in Zurich, Zug, Basel, and virtual events which we will specify this in the event title.

See all- Birdwatching at KatzenseeMühlacker Zurich - bus stop 61 , Zürich
There are wild animals right here among us! Come discover the exciting world of birds at the Katzensee ponds, just north of Zürich. With the help of Jennifer Boothby, leader of the Bird Life Zurich course Common Garden Birds (https://birdlife-zuerich.ch/naturkurs/common-garden-birds-in-zurich-3/, we will find as many species as we can and share what we know about them. We'll also discuss conservation efforts in Switzerland and enjoy a day in the outdoors in good company. Beginner and advanced birders are welcome!
