Dealing with Rejection in the Job Search Without Losing Your Confidence

Rejection is one of the hardest parts of job searching, and when it happens repeatedly, it can slowly wear down confidence, motivation, and self-trust. In this 90-minute workshop, we’ll explore the emotional impact of job rejection and silence, especially for migrants and people who have been unemployed for a while. Through practical psychological tools, guided reflections, and simple emotional regulation techniques, you’ll learn how to process rejection without internalizing it, separate your self-worth from outcomes, and continue your job search without losing confidence.

Why we organize the Mental Health Meetups
In 2025, IHL conducted a survey to understand how internationals in Leuven and the surrounding areas were doing. One thing internationals mentioned they needed more of was mental health support.

So we are launching Mental Health Meetups at IHL. Each month, different topics will be featured relating to mental health. The events will be hosted by mental health professionals, bringing their expertise to the international community.

These events will be in a variety of formats. Some will be informational, conversational, interactive, etc. It's a safe space to participate how you would like (active or passive).
