What we’re about
If you’ve dreamed of being a writer but were afraid to try, this is for you. If you love to write, but can never find the time, this is for you. If you read the words of your favourite authors and despair that you’ll ever be that good, this is definitely for you. In addition to our regular 8-week workshops, we host monthly meetups for writers - including communal writing evenings, borrels and author talks. Our teachers have been offering fiction & poetry workshops in Amsterdam since 2011 and during that time we've built an amazing community of creative people. We'd love to have you join. For more information, check out our website at InternationalWritersCollective.com and for daily inspiration, follow us on Facebook.

Join award-winning author Allison Amend for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of ultra-short storytelling. Learn, write, revise—and leave with two new flash drafts!
Flash prose—short stories or essays under 1000 words (sometimes up to 1500)—is one of today’s most exciting and accessible literary forms. With thousands of literary journals publishing flash (many exclusively), now is the perfect time to try out this compact, high-impact form.
Whether you’re new to flash or looking to sharpen your short-form skills, this special Sunday session will give you inspiration, know-how, and a toolkit to take your writing further.
