May is Pink Ribbon Breakfast month where people are encouraged to raise funds for Breast Cancer by having a "Pink Breakfast/Morning tea" or something else. We will do our Pink Walk again creating quite a sight as we wander around all decked out in pink.

In 2023 we raised almost $900, 2024 saw us raise $2021, last year with your amazing support we raised almost $2100. It costs $1250 a day to keep the mobile unit out in the community or $2,500 will raise funds for new research therefore I have set the bar high - our aim this year is to raise enough to assist with this research.

9 women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer in NZ - that's over 3500 per year! Including a number of members in our group who have been affected either themselves or family members or friends so most people know someone who is affected.

Pink Ribbon Breakfast is Breast Cancer Foundation NZ’s biggest fundraising campaign, where each year thousands of amazing Kiwis across the country raise money to fund breast cancer education, research and patient support.

You can either donate in cash on the day or using the below link which is a page specific to Intrepid's fundraising efforts to this worthy cause. All cash donations on the day will be added to the total on this page :-)

There will be some fun and games along the way so if you could bring some coins to participate in those that would be greatly appreciated.

A wee prize will be on offer for the most creative outfit and the most pinked out lunch.

Bring wet weather gear just in case. Water, good walking shoes, lunch, some coins and a sense of fun and adventure :-)

If you are not able to attend this walk we would love it if you would still contribute to our fundraising efforts either via the above link or let us know if you want to donate in cash on another walk and we will add it to our collective efforts.

Note using the above link requires credit/debit card and does automatically add a fee to cover "platform costs" - you can either accept this or there are a number of options of paying a different amount or not covering the platform costs. Remember you can claim 33% back from IRD (this money comes from IRD not the charity).
