Unitec and surrounds

Plenty of green spaces, predominantly paths and shared path.

The car park closes at 9pm so we should be okay to park in the car park. Please try to leave the 4 freedom camping car parks free, these are on the right hand side of the upper level of car parks.

Walk is approx. 8.5 km - 2 hours.
Lots of parks & bridges and we can check out the newer paths through the Unitec area.

Dress warmly, comfy shoes and bring a torch.

Please note we request a gold coin for participation in order to cover some of the costs incurred by the leaders for their organisation. Items such as outdoor magazine subscriptions, safety equipment (eg PLB) and the website costs etc.

Please refrain from attending if you are not feeling well.

Group members have indicated that they like to walk in a smaller group with a preferred maximum of 25. Therefore the limit on our walks will remain at 25. Thank you for your understanding :-)

We will leave on time in fairness to the whole group.

6.30 is the start time, not the time to arrive. Please ensure you are ready to depart by 6.30pm.
