Are you a shy person or an introvert who wants to make friends and have fun?
If you want to meet new people but don't feel comfortable with the loud, crowded scenes that most of us face when trying to 'get out there' this is the right place for you to meet people and practice social skills in a safe and fun environment where others understand and face the same issues.
We cover Kilgore, Tyler, Longview and the surrounding area.
NOTE: When we have enough members, we will begin scheduling meetings that may include movie nights, educational presentations, game nights, attending local events or just meeting for pizza somewhere.
Our members range from Highly Sensitive People to Extroverts who prefer quiet, non-competitive get-togethers. We plan to offer a variety of meetups from very quiet to more outgoing situations that meet everyone's expectations while challenging you to get outside your comfort zone a little.
Our group policies are basically that everyone treats others as they would like to be treated, no bullying is allowed. Everyone is expected to be supportive. This a friendly environment where you can feel safe and meet others on your own terms, regardless of 'shy level' or introvert level, you can feel at home. You will find people with similar interests, forge friendships and have fun. Everyone is facing similar issues so no one is judgmental here.
This group is about getting together, making friends and having fun. It is not about "fixing" anyone. It is not a matter of fixing anything but a matter of learning and practicing skills to help all of us live better and more fulfilling lives.
My own introverted nature is no longer something that limits my life but is rather part of a set of abilities that I adapt to my advantage and makes my life enjoyable.
This is not a singles mixer and is strictly friendship based, though singles are of course welcome.
