Description: This 10 hour Yin Yoga and Earth Element Intensive is a yoga alliance accredited continuing education course. In this training we will explore the Yin Yoga practice, principles and philosophy through the lens of the five element theory. In Chinese Medicine, it is said that there are five elements, earth-metal-water-wood-fire. We are each an embodiment of all five elements and have much to learn from their wisdom. Connecting the wisdom of each element to the enriching practice of yin yoga, allows for a deeper scope of understanding. We are no longer looking at Yin Yoga as merely a physical practice, rather, we are acknowledging our interconnectedness between our bodies, our heart and nature.

In this intensive, the element of the late summer season, earth, inspires our practice. We will explore lessons of earth, Yin Yoga postures that follow the stomach and spleen meridians and ways to balance the earth element during this time of year.

Your guide, Brittany Russell, has over 300hrs of Yin training and 5 Element Theory. She fell in love with Yin back in 2016 and has not stopped studying since. Yin Yoga wisdom and the 5 Element philosophy has changed the way in which she sees the world and has helped her heal in many ways.
