What we’re about

We explore the city with photography and experimental mapping using Situationism techniques, including Guy Debord’s Theory of Derivé.

The weekend photo walks are conducted using the “Wrong maps” . These might include - maps of another city/place, maps from the past, future maps, collages, etc. During the photo hunts we are searching the “treasures” - places to find unusual views to capture, and map the new treasures , accidentally found. After each of the walks we collect the maps and photos, and develop the “invisible maps of the places” - photo clouds georeferenced to the actual map of a place and collages. Those are the “psychogeographic contours” of the areas we explore.

And what we do - is use our imagination. To see how the place might be looking like so feel a bit happier there - based on our real experience.

Because the map is not the territory ,)
