About us
We host casual meetups and teach riichi mahjong in Irvine. Mahjong is a traditional 4 player game that's popular in Asia, and riichi mahjong is the Japanese version of the game. Compared to other versions of mahjong, riichi mahjong has several unique rules that make the game strategically interesting and exciting.
This Meetup group is new so we don't have many members here, but we've been posting events on our Instagram page for a while: https://www.instagram.com/irvineriichi/
We meet up at Woodbridge Village Center every other Wednesday. The meetups are beginner friendly, and we teach lessons to beginners who are interested in learning. We also have tables set up for casual play.
