The Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) has a long history of commitment to water education and recognizes the significant impact lifelong learning can have on a community.

Established in 1961 as a California Water District under the provisions of the state of California Water Code, IRWD is an independent special district serving Central Orange County, California. IRWD provides high-quality drinking water, reliable wastewater collection and treatment, ground-breaking recycled water programs, and environmentally sound urban runoff treatment to more than 380,000 residents. • The Right Equipment - Learn about rainwater harvesting and water efficient irrigation components which can aid you in watering your landscape in the most efficient manner.
• The Right Schedule - Implement proper watering practices as the seasons change for different plant types and learn how to build a living soil for a healthy garden.
