ISA Career Events

ISA Navi is your GPS through the job search in Switzerland. The session follows the real timeline of a job search, from "before the decision" all the way to the review year: the expensive mistakes that quietly cost five-figure sums, and the opportunities that almost no one leverages systematically. Enriched with personal, first-hand accounts from the ISA Community.

Your guide through this free session is Alfonso Papa — Leadership Coach, entrepreneur and founder, mentor at the Employment Office of the Canton of Zurich, and lecturer at the Graduate School of Applied Technology & Management.

This series is made for senior professionals who approach their job search as a strategic chapter in their career — not as a gap to be endured.

In 60 minutes, you'll get a first free overview of:

• The 5 phases of a Swiss job search and where money is really lost
• Before handing in your notice, and the first 48 hours: what you shouldn't sign, and which deadlines can't be recovered
• The obligation to apply from day 1 of your notice period — the most common expensive mistake made by highly qualified professionals
• The silent 30-day deadlines: pension fund, accident insurance (UVG), and daily sickness benefits
• The review year: proof of applications, counselling meetings, assigned vacancies, and interim earnings
• Real opportunities during outplacement and your time with the RAV

👥 Who this session is for
For senior professionals who are currently navigating a transition in the Swiss job market. Especially relevant if you:

• Have 10 to 20+ years of professional experience and are facing a transition
• Have recently received notice of termination, are reviewing a mutual termination agreement, or are considering resigning yourself
• Are receiving unemployment benefits (or will be soon) and are unsure how the RAV system really works
• Are re-entering the market and rebuilding your pipeline
• Are highly qualified and are realizing that the standard advice doesn't fit your situation
• The session is not recorded, allowing for an honest and personal exchange.
• As an exclusive and confidential event for highly qualified job seekers, job coaches and recruitment consultants are unfortunately not granted access.

🌱 What you'll take away
✅ Clarity on which of your next decisions could have five-figure consequences
✅ A concrete plan of action for the first days after a termination or before resigning yourself
✅ An understanding of the mechanics of the RAV system
✅ A way to run your job search as a full-time project
✅ Concrete ISA formats for your next step

Language: English 🇬🇧
The series is held alternately in German and English.

Cost: None, the session is sponsored by ISA.
