Join us for a laid-back explanation of how your home network actually works. We'll break down routers, modems, IP addresses, WiFi, and all the behind-the-scenes tech that gets you online โ no computer science degree required.
This is Tech Talks for Tired Women, which means we get it - we're all exhausted because of gestures broadly at everything. We're keeping it simple and approachable with pictures, diagrams, analogies, and explanations from someone who's figuring this out alongside you. No jargon, no gatekeeping, just good old-fashioned learning that won't make your brain hurt.
This event is hybrid! Join us in person at the FortyAU offices, or tune in from your couch โ totally your call. If you're joining online, don't worry about missing out. We have a solid setup to keep remote folks fully in the loop, and we'll do a round of intros at the start so everyone's on the same page.

Yes! We will provide food, snacks, and drinks.

Is the venue ADA accessible?

Yes! The venue is accessible and we'd be happy to do whatever we can to make sure everyone is accommodated. Just let an organizer know if you need anything.

I'm a man, can I attend your event?

We would like to keep our meetups as much for women and women-identifying members as possible, so we ask that you maybe skip this one. BUT we are planning Ally events and an Ally channel in NashDev in the future so that we can include more people in what we're doing. Stay tuned!
