Kubernetes on Cloud w/ Kops

Details
Our good friend Marcial White has added to his Kubernetes 101 class and will be teaching again at ASG (www.virtual.com). Come have fun with us and learn how containers work, why they're only half the virtualization puzzle, and orchestrate them in the cloud with the bleeding edge stack: Kubernetes. The hands-on labs will culminate as a (semi) production-ready Kops-based construction (https://kubernetes.io/docs/getting-started-guides/kops/) of a Kubernetes stack at the cloud provider Amazon Web Services. We'll host an internet radio station using a custom-built pod consisting of three containers: icecast, mpd and ympd, and demonstrate the self-healing abilities of the system. Finally, we'll discuss productionization techniques for various service providers.
After class we'll go to the place pictured above: Wonderland Brewery
Other friends of ASG who will be there:
From Software Freedom School (meetup.com/sofreeus)
David Willson, Heather Willson, Gary Romero, Silvia Briscoe
Heather will bring her fabulous breakfast treats and coffee. ASG will bring pizza for lunch, all included!
