The Edmonton Italian Speakers Meetup provides the space to practice speaking and listening to Italian.
Whether you are a beginner student wanting to learn, advanced speaker desiring to practice, or travelling to Italy, you will be able to practice. Involvement of all levels of speakers will help everyone get better.
Whenever possible, the meetup will be organized around Italian culture, so as to immerse members not only in the language, but all things Italian.

Celebrate La Vita Bella!
Italy is synonymous with beauty or bellezza.
Celebrate beauty at this rare and unique event, where you’ll be immersed in not only the Italian language, but all things beautiful. Here’s the plan:
Part 1: Standup Social, Cosa Fina, 30-45 minutes
CosaFina or Fine Thing is a local Ital-Canadian owned home furnishings boutique with many beautiful home décor items, many sourced from makers and mills in existence in Italy and Europe since the 1800’s. Socialize with proprietor Maria Elia-Brosch and others while we enjoy the musical talents and gifts of violinist Nicole Torres (see YouTube below). We’ll even hear from the owner of an original Tuscan textile mill called Busatti via a special video about the heritage of Italian made materials like linen or upolstry (PENDING)! If you feel like dressing up, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to take a photo with the boquets, Fiori di Maggio in the boutique! And get your palette ready for food, with a little Spanish cava and fine chocolate tasting.
Part 2: A La Carte Dinner & Drinks, La Prosciutteria
CosaFina and La Prosciutteria are connected through a ‘secret’ back door, so we’ll cross over to enjoy as much (or as little) food & beverages as you’d like with our friends from La Prosciutteria. Nicole Torres will help us celebrate some more with more lively tunes so feel free to sing if you know the words or dance. We’ll be toasting our Italian language success, in addition to a special ‘mystery’ guest, an Ital-Canadian entrepreneur who was recently celebrated for remarkable achievements in business. Socialize in Italian, and enjoy la bella vita with friends, family, or colleagues.- -Cost $15/person at door (cash only)
