Welcome to the inaugural meeting of this nonfiction-focused book club! For our first book, we will be reading "We're Alone" by Edwidge Danticat. "We're Alone" is an essay collection, so while we hope everyone is able to read the whole book, we know life gets busy (or you may not have known this event was happening in time!), so come discuss the essays you were able to read.
The book is available at the Tompkins County Public Library and will soon be available for purchase at Protagonist Bookstore in Dryden, where our first meeting is being hosted. We encourage you to bring your own mug! Additionally, bring your non-fiction recommendation(s) if you'd like as we will be voting on future book selections.
