Queer Despair and Resilience Circle (Oct. 2026) - Online
·OnlineOnlineIf you are Queer, this space is for you! If you know someone who is Queer that needs to scream, cry, vent, or voice their rage, fear, grief, or despair, please share this invitation with them:
This is a Powerful Virtual Circle that Offers a Safe Space* for LGBTQIA2S+ Folx who:
~ Feel scared, confused, alone, betrayed…
~ Want to be witnessed in their despair, anger, grief and rage.
~ Can come as you are, without judgement, without a need to mask.
~ Wish to hold space for others to know they are not alone.
~ Crave healing connection in a time of terrifying brutality and chaos.
~ Want to live in a just and beautiful world.Inspired by The Work That Reconnects (Root Teacher Joanna Macy) and The Despair and Discovery Circle (created by Betti Rooted Lionheart).
* Although we recognize that safety can never be guaranteed, we find it important to try to create safety in this Circle. We define Safe Space as a space where everyone’s identity is respected, discrimination and harassment aren’t tolerated, and where we can be vulnerable without fear of judgment or consequences.

In this circle, we will:
~ Give each person time and attention to show up with whatever is present and alive for you.
~ Feel, express, and release our deeply held emotions.
~ Move energy through our bodies.
~ Reconnect to ourselves, each other, and the Earth.
~ Become more resilient.
~ Welcome and validate it all: anger, rage, sadness, despair, shame, laughter, joy, tears, screams, and more.
~ Witness and be witnessed, hold and be held.
~ Experience the transformations available when we go deep together.One of our favorite things about the Queer Despair and Resilience Circle is that we create an amazing poem out of the experience of holding space for each other as we express our hard and heavy feelings.

Betti is a Facilitator of the Work That Reconnects, the Mother of two teenage Sons, and the founder of Braided Root Waters Healing Sanctuary in Trumansburg, New York, USA. Betti offers powerfully transformative Shamanic Healing Sessions and 1:1 Shamanic Mentorship for Teens (in-person and via zoom).

Sebastian Stout (he/him, they/them)
Sebastian is a trans-masc, non-binary, queer person, and is a solo parent of a teen. He is intuitive and passionate about connecting with nature and honoring the cycles of life, holding space for birth, death, and the process of composting. He brings a calm steady energy with authenticity and sincerity.
Sebastian works as an Integrative/Experiential Therapist for LGBTQ adults. He has a background in Ecotherapy, Marriage and Family Therapy, and an MA in Transformative Leadership. He is a facilitator of The Work that Reconnects, and is trained in Integrative Yoga Therapy, Kundalini Yoga and as a Birth Doula.1 attendee

Shamanic Extraction: This is the removal of energy from you that does not belong to you and has been harmful to you.
Dismemberment: This is deeply transformational healing in which you have a death and rebirth experience.
Soul Retrieval: This is the healing and returning to you of a Soul Part that you lost in an experience of trauma. (We live in a highly traumatizing world and most people have experienced a lot of Soul loss.)
