Hello, we’re It’s a Date — Manchester’s go-to singles parties and dating events crew.
We’re professional icebreakers, breathing fresh life into the city’s dating scene with feel-good events, buzzing venues, and hosts who know how to spark great vibes.
From our own adventures (and those of our single friends), we learned there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to love. So, we reimagined dating nights — designing events where you can show up as yourself, have fun, and meet people who are genuinely on your wavelength.
Picture it: a trendy venue, a room full of outgoing single guests, and our lively hosts to provide the social glue. Suddenly, meeting the one doesn’t feel like a chore — it feels like a party.

30 single guests. One stylish bar. A great host to bring everyone together. Join us for a fun, fast-paced evening of real-life introductions in the heart of Manchester.
Located in the heart of Manchester’s vibrant Deansgate district, Be At One is one of the city’s best-loved cocktail bars. We’ll have exclusive use of a private space for an evening of great conversation, good vibes, and new connections. Grab a drink, settle in, and let us introduce you to a room full of like-minded singles in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that’s far more enjoyable than the apps.
Our host will be at the venue ready to welcome you from 19:15. Please arrive on time for registration, to grab a drink from the bar, and to receive a quick overview of how the evening will run. You’ll also be given an optional name sticker, a pen, and a note card to keep track of everyone you meet.
Ladies will be seated at tables that are comfortably spaced, discreetly numbered, and arranged in a relaxed area of the venue. Once speed dating begins, gents will join ladies for 5-minute dates. Your host will signal the end of each round, prompting gents to move to the next table in ascending order.
Between rotations, you’ll have a moment to jot down your impressions of the previous date and note whether you’d like to reconnect later. These cards are for your reference only.
Midway through the evening, your host will announce a 15-minute comfort break, giving you time to use the restroom, refresh your drink, or mingle with new connections. Dating will then resume for the second half of the event.
At the end of the evening, the bar will remain open for further socialising. Afterwards, you can log in to your dashboard to record feedback on your dates and see your matches.

Nestled in the heart of the trendy Spinningfields neighbourhood—you’ll find The Alchemist, a chic, stylish, open-plan cocktail bar buzzing with a lively atmosphere and a cosmopolitan crowd (pun intended). More importantly—you’ll find more than 60 eligible guests, a complimentary drink, and an energetic host providing those all-important introductions. Come join us at what could be the last dating event you’ll ever attend!
Outgoing single guests will gather here to make new connections in a naturally relaxed and vibrant setting. Our high-energy hosts provide the ultimate social glue, welcoming you with a complimentary drink (if you arrive before 20:00), introducing you to others, and ensuring you’re having a fantastic time mingling throughout the evening.
We kick things off at 19:30 when your host will be ready to greet you at the venue. If you’re unsure where to go, simply ask the friendly bar team.
