Hello, we’re It’s a Date — Manchester’s go-to singles parties and dating events crew.
We’re professional icebreakers, breathing fresh life into the city’s dating scene with feel-good events, buzzing venues, and hosts who know how to spark great vibes.
From our own adventures (and those of our single friends), we learned there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to love. So, we reimagined dating nights — designing events where you can show up as yourself, have fun, and meet people who are genuinely on your wavelength.
Picture it: a trendy venue, a room full of outgoing single guests, and our lively hosts to provide the social glue. Suddenly, meeting the one doesn’t feel like a chore — it feels like a party.

Located opposite St Peter’s Square tram stop, moments from Oxford Road Station and a short walk from Manchester Central, The Anthologist sets the scene for a super-chilled Sunday morning with your favourite brew and twelve chances to meet somebody new!
Whether you’re an espresso enthusiast, a matcha man, or the queen of chamomile, your first cup’s on us at this event full of warm introductions and laid-back laughs. And if you’re feeling a little chai, don’t worry — our host will be on hand to help everyone feel at ease and enjoy a great afternoon.
You’ll be welcomed at 10:30, shown where to collect your complimentary cuppa, and given an optional name sticker, a pen, and a note card to track each of your dates. Our host will then give a quick introduction to explain how the event will unfold.
The set-up is simple: ladies will be seated at numbered tables, and when dating begins, gents will rotate every seven minutes for a fresh new ‘shot’ at romance. Your host will guide each changeover to ensure everyone meets all attendees over the course of the morning.
About halfway through, there will be a 15-minute break — perfect for stretching your legs, topping up your drink, or chatting with fellow guests you haven’t yet met. After that, we’ll jump right back into the second round of dates.
Once the final date wraps up, the bar stays open for more networking — or why not take a stroll around town with your newfound connections? After the event, you can log in to your dashboard to leave feedback and find out if any mutual matches were made.

Located in the heart of Manchester’s vibrant Deansgate district, Be At One is one of the city’s best-loved cocktail bars. We’ll have exclusive use of a private space for an evening of great conversation, good vibes, and new connections. Grab a drink, settle in, and let us introduce you to a room full of like-minded singles in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that’s far more enjoyable than the apps.
Our host will be at the venue ready to welcome you from 19:15. Please arrive on time for registration, to grab a drink from the bar, and to receive a quick overview of how the evening will run. You’ll also be given an optional name sticker, a pen, and a note card to keep track of everyone you meet.
Ladies will be seated at tables that are comfortably spaced, discreetly numbered, and arranged in a relaxed area of the venue. Once speed dating begins, gents will join ladies for 5-minute dates. Your host will signal the end of each round, prompting gents to move to the next table in ascending order.
Between rotations, you’ll have a moment to jot down your impressions of the previous date and note whether you’d like to reconnect later. These cards are for your reference only.
Midway through the evening, your host will announce a 15-minute comfort break, giving you time to use the restroom, refresh your drink, or mingle with new connections. Dating will then resume for the second half of the event.
At the end of the evening, the bar will remain open for further socialising. Afterwards, you can log in to your dashboard to record feedback on your dates and see your matches.
