Hello, we're It's a Date - a London-based speed dating and singles events company. We’re professional icebreakers; reviving London’s dating scene with feel-good events, in awesome venues, with fun and charismatic hosts.
Personal experience and our single friends have taught us that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to finding love. It’s why we set to work redesigning dating events, creating opportunities for you to express yourself authentically and meet like-minded singles.

Escape the ordinary at our Saturday night singles party at The Folly. Enjoy a welcome drink, a cosmopolitan crowd, and a relaxed vibe perfect for meeting new people. Over 100 guests aged 25–38 will join us in a private area reserved exclusively for It’s a Date—ideal for mixing, mingling, and making real connections. Expect a fun, easy-going night with tons of new faces, great hosting, and good energy all evening.
Our host will be at the venue, ready to welcome you at 19:30. They’ll be easy to spot with a big smile, but if you’re unsure, just ask one of the friendly bar team. Your host will guide you to the area reserved exclusively for our event, offer you an optional name sticker, and direct you to where you can leave your jacket. Plus, guests who arrive before 20:00 will receive a complimentary drink – a great reason to show up on time! Once you’re settled in, your host will introduce you to other guests and make sure everyone gets a chance to meet as many people as possible.
Our singles parties are casual and informal, offering a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with lovely single Londoners in a relaxed, fun environment. Your host will be there from start to finish, ensuring you meet everyone and making special introductions upon request. With over 100 guests, there’s plenty of time to make new connections, enjoy a couple of drinks, and soak up the great atmosphere!
After the evening concludes, you can access the event listing in your dashboard to enter feedback on those you have met and await your matches. A match is struck when two guests reciprocate identical feedback, indicating mutual intent to reconnect and enabling messaging via our online platform.

A prime location in Clapham — easy to find but hard to leave. Why? Because Botanica Hall is a welcoming, bright, and comfortable space, making it the perfect setting for an evening of speed dating. Alongside its contemporary aesthetic and convenient location, you can expect a seasonal drinks menu, an outgoing group of single guests, and an It’s a Date host coordinating an unforgettable evening of introductions in The Olive Bar — a secluded area of this central Clapham hotspot.
Our host will be at the venue from 19:15 to welcome you. Please arrive on time to check in, grab a drink from the bar, and receive a brief overview of how the evening will unfold. You’ll be offered an optional name sticker, along with a pen and note card to help you keep track of the people you meet.
Ladies will be seated at discreetly numbered, well-spaced tables in a comfortable area of the venue. When speed dating begins, gents will join ladies for 5-minute dates to get to know one another. Your host will signal the end of each date and guide gents to move to the next table in ascending numerical order. During table rotations, you’ll have a moment to note your impressions and intentions for reconnecting — for your reference only.
Midway through the evening, there will be a 15-minute comfort break to use the restroom, head to the bar, or socialise with new connections. Dating will then resume for the second half of the evening.

You will have the chance to select a drink from the extensive bar menu, meet your friendly host, and get comfortable on the mezzanine before we begin. For those continuing into the night, you are in the heart of Soho, so the opportunities are endless!

A fun, flavour-filled evening for wine lovers, cheese enthusiasts, and anyone keen to meet someone who shares their great taste.
Have a Mer’lot of fun meeting fellow wine enthusiasts during this full-bodied evening of Old World wines and newfound single friends. Add a cheese and charcuterie board into the mix, and you’ve got yourself some truly perfect pairings!
You’ll be welcomed at 19:15 by your It’s a Date host, who will show you where to leave your jacket and introduce you to the rest of the group. From there, you’ll enjoy three 125ml servings of hand-selected wines — typically a red, a white, and either a rosé or sparkling option. Pairing notes will be provided to give insight into each wine’s origins, add context to the flavours, and offer easy conversational cues as we explore the wines (and each other) throughout the evening.
Mid-way through, we’ll share a selection of cheeses and charcuterie — the ideal accompaniment to a relaxed, organic, and sociable night out.
Throughout the event, your host will make introductions and ensure everyone has plenty of opportunities to mingle and connect. We’ll wrap up around 21:00, after which the bar will remain open for a glass from your favourite bottle and the chance to continue socialising more widely.
Once home, you can access a list of attendees on your It’s a Date dashboard to send match feedback and organise those second dates. A match is struck when two guests reciprocate identical feedback, indicating mutual intent to reconnect and enabling messaging via our online platform.
