Hello, we're It's a Date - a London-based speed dating and singles events company. We’re professional icebreakers; reviving London’s dating scene with feel-good events, in awesome venues, with fun and charismatic hosts.
Personal experience and our single friends have taught us that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to finding love. It’s why we set to work redesigning dating events, creating opportunities for you to express yourself authentically and meet like-minded singles.
Picture this: you’re in a fabulous venue mingling amongst people who had just the same thought as you. Cue our vivacious hosts for the night, trained to help you ditch your inhibitions, and you’ve just turbocharged your chances of meeting ‘the one’.

Are you 25–38 and single? Great—this one’s for you! Join 30 other outgoing, available guests for an evening of fun, friendly, and fast-paced introductions in the City.
In the heart of The City, just moments from Liverpool St. Station, The Otherist is an elegant and relaxed setting for meeting new people. A spacious and comfortable sunken lounge sets the scene for our speed dating event, a great space for making connections. Great music, a chilled atmosphere, and excellent service from the venue team make this a stress-free evening for all.
Our host will be at the venue ready to welcome you at 19:30. Please arrive on time for registration, to grab any drinks from the bar, and receive a summary of how things will work. You will be given an optional name sticker, a pen, and note card to keep track of everyone you’ve met.
Ladies will be seated on tables adequately spaced, discreetly numbered, and arranged in a comfortable area of the venue. When speed dating commences, gents will join ladies for 5-minute dates to get to know one another. Your host will notify all guests at the end of each date, signalling for gents to move to the next table in ascending numerical order.
During table rotations you will have a moment to record on note cards your feelings towards the previous date and intention to reconnect, for your reference only.
Mid-way through the evening, your host will indicate a 15-minute comfort break to use the rest room, head to the bar, or socialise with new connections. Dating will then resume for the second half of the evening.
At the end of the speed dating the bar will remain open for more socialising. You can then access the event listing in your dashboard to enter feedback on dates and await your matches.

It’s a Date is putting the fun back to dating events with Plonk, London Bridge! If making new connections on a crazy golf course sounds like your cup of tee, this event will be a hole lot of fun!
We’ll gather a group of golf-loving guys and girls for a round of introductions on this creative, London-themed course.
Our host will welcome you at 19:30 and introduce you to the other guests. You’ll then have the chance to grab a drink from the bar before we get started (we highly recommend the G & Tees!). Once ready, you’ll be teamed up in mixed groups of six as you hit the course for the first few holes.
Midway through, our host will mix up the teams to make sure you get to show off your stylish swing to as many fellow guests as possible.
After completing the 9-hole course, we’ll gather in the arcade for some nostalgic games like pinball or Pac-Man. For those handy with a cue, we can pair you up for doubles in a round of pool. It’s all about fun icebreakers in a retro-themed bar to keep the conversations and good times flowing.When the evening concludes, post-event matching will be available on your It’s a Date dashboard—so you can keep your winning streak going, both in love and on the crazy golf course.

It’s a Date takes over a private space at The Star of Liverpool Street for an active and entertaining evening of networking—Human Bingo in The City.
We’re kicking off (almost) the weekend with a sociable group of 40 single guests, coming together for after-work drinks and a round of Human Bingo at this awesome venue.
“Human Bingo?” we hear you ask—what’s that?! It’s a super-fun icebreaker game where you are the playing piece. Everyone gets a bingo-style card filled with fun facts (like “Has a pet,” “Can speak another language,” or “Loves sushi”). Your mission? Mingle, ask questions, and find people who match each square. Get a full row—and bingo—you’ve won a free drink! It’s the perfect way to kick-start conversations and meet new people, minus the awkward small talk.
Your host will be ready to welcome you from 19:30, wearing a big smile and a discreet name badge, so they’ll be easy to spot. You’ll be offered an optional name sticker (great for breaking the ice), a Human Bingo card (to spark some mingling magic), and once you’re ready, introduced to a bunch of other single guests.
Get ready for a relaxed, zero small-talk, great-vibes kind of night—full of new connections, genuine chat, and maybe even a few sparks (plus a free drink or two) along the way.
After the event wraps up, head to your dashboard to leave feedback on the people you met. A match is made when two guests give each other positive feedback, unlocking messaging on our platform.

- Bowling Night in Soho | Ages 30 to 45All Star Lanes Holborn, London

Prepare to strike it lucky with 30 guests in the 30 to 45 age group as we take to the lanes at this lively evening of introductions, entertainment, and…you guessed it – bowling!
All Star Lanes Holborn is an intimate, retro-style venue that’s perfect for bowling over potential matches as you rack up those strikes…or gutter-balls(?!) Whatever your bowling-game, it’s all light-hearted, heaps of fun, and a great opportunity to meet likeminded singles either on the lanes or socialising in a private networking space reserved exclusively for It’s a Date. Throughout the evening, the bar team keep everyone refreshed with creative cocktails, craft beers, wines, and for those looking for the authentic All-Star experience – delicious milkshakes.
This bowling themed event is ideal for fun-loving singles booking individually or with friends. Everyone will be welcomed by our host at 19:15 who will offer you a name sticker, direct you to our private area, and ensure you have time to grab a drink before we begin.
Guests alternate between the lanes in mixed groups of guys and girls for an action-packed game of bowling designed to break the ice, get the conversation flowing, and become acquainted with your fellow teammates. While not bowling, you will have the chance to socialise more widely as our host is on-hand to make introductions to all other guests.
At the end of the games, we will tot-up the scores and announce our King- or Queen-pin of the evening. However, if previous events are anything to go by, everyone’s a winner at this great fun evening.
Post-event matching will be available on your It’s a Date dashboard where you can continue the winning streak in love as well as on the lanes.
