Scary Night Hike (red lights only) - about 5 miles, 2 hours; only 40 spots

WARNING: DO NOT COME IF YOU DON'T LIKE TO BE SCARED
If you do not like haunted houses, haunted corn mazes or other scary stuff, this is NOT for you

I'm capping this at 40 so that means NO SHOWS may be removed from the group AND last minute RSVP changes are the same as no shows - don't waste a spot someone else could have used

It's October and that means it's Halloween month - pumpkins, bats, witches, haunted houses and all other things scary and we'll be hiking through some haunted woods tonight, with RED LIGHTS - the moon will not be out so red lights are ok to use...I would definitely prefer to hike as much as possible without using any light, but RED is ok now and then

Costumes are ok, and even encouraged, just make sure you can hike in them and be ready for them to maybe get dirty on the hike

There will be hazards on the hike...rocks, roots, tree branches, leaves, large step ups and downs...as well as other 'hazards' ;)

The hike should take ABOUT 2 hours, about 5 miles, but no promises. We'll get done when we get done.

Sunset is 6pm
Moonrise is 2pm
Moonset is 11pm
we'll have a 1/2 moon out tonight for lighting the trails
you can use headlamps, but RED LIGHTS ONLY

proper footwear is required - no flip flops, sandals or tennis shoes

No guests - everyone must be an IBO member and RSVP so I make sure they are aware of all the details of the hike - we had guests come before and they weren't told it was 'scary'
