# 🌿 Savannah & the Lowcountry | 7 Nights of Food, History, Culture & Connection

### January 18–26, 2027 | Only 12 Travelers

Come solo. Explore together. Leave with stories—and maybe a few new lifelong friends.

Savannah is beautiful. But this trip isn't just about Spanish moss, historic squares and pretty buildings.

We're going deeper.

Over seven nights, we'll explore the people, food, history, art and stories of Savannah and the Lowcountry—from slavery and emancipation to Civil Rights, Gullah Geechee traditions, Southern cooking, local art and modern Savannah.

And we're doing it the way I believe travel should be experienced:
In a small group where you can arrive knowing no one and very quickly realize you aren't traveling alone.

There are only 12 places on this trip.

***

## 💛 THIS IS MORE THAN A SAVANNAH VACATION

You don't need to come with a roommate. I will match you if you want or you can get one of the 6 single rooms.

You don't need someone at home who wants to go.

And you definitely don't need to wait until you find the "right person" to travel with.

You just need to say yes.

Our group will share experiences during the day and then have Connection Time each evening—time for dinner, a drink, conversation, laughter and talking about everything we've experienced.

Because some of the best moments on a trip aren't on the itinerary.
They're the conversation over breakfast.
The person who ends up walking beside you.
The inside joke that started three days ago.
The dinner that lasts longer than expected because nobody is ready to leave.

That's the difference between taking a trip and traveling with a tribe.

# 🌿 WHAT OUR WEEK LOOKS LIKE

### 🥂 DAY 1 — WELCOME TO SAVANNAH

Southern Charm & Meet Your Travel Tribe
Arrive and settle into our 4-star hotel in the heart of Savannah's Historic District, our home for the entire week.

We'll begin with an easy orientation walk before gathering for our Meet Your Travel Tribe Welcome Dinner.

No awkward networking.

Just 12 travelers sharing a meal, getting acquainted and beginning an adventure together.

### 🏛️ DAY 2 — SAVANNAH BEYOND THE SPANISH MOSS

History • Architecture • The Stories Behind the Mansions

We'll explore more than 300 years of Savannah history with a local historian while walking its famous squares and streets.

After lunch at Collins Quarter, we'll visit the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters.

It's a beautiful property—but we're not going to look only at beautiful architecture.

We'll explore the lives of the wealthy families who lived here and the enslaved people whose labor and stories are inseparable from its history.

This is the beginning of understanding Savannah beyond the postcard.

***

### ✊ DAY 3 — VOICES OF SAVANNAH

Freedom • Faith • Civil Rights

Today belongs to the people whose stories aren't always included in the traditional Savannah tour.

We'll visit the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum, housed in the former Wage Earners Savings Bank in what was once the heart of Savannah's Black business district.

We'll enjoy lunch at a Black-owned local favorite and visit historic First African Baptist Church, whose roots reach back to the 18th century.

And then history gets considerably more spirited...

🍸 Prohibition-Era Cocktail Class

Inside a 1920s-style speakeasy, we'll learn how cocktail culture changed during Prohibition—and make our own authentic Prohibition-era drinks.

History class was never quite like this.

### 🍤 DAY 4 — TASTE & CREATE SAVANNAH

Food • Markets • Art • River Street

Come hungry.
A local food insider will lead us through Savannah's culinary story with tastings that may include buttery biscuits, Lowcountry seafood, sweets and foods influenced by generations of Gullah Geechee and Southern traditions.

Then we're off to the wonderfully eclectic Starland Arts District for murals, galleries, independent shops and Savannah's creative side.

We'll finish down on Savannah's historic waterfront, where we'll have time to explore River Street and choose from several dinner possibilities.

This is a day for tasting, wandering, laughing and simply enjoying Savannah together.

***

### 🌾 DAY 5 — THE SEA ISLANDS & GULLAH GEECHEE LOWCOUNTRY

St. Helena Island • Penn Center • Beaufort

This may become the day people talk about long after we come home.

We'll cross into South Carolina's Sea Islands and explore St. Helena Island, one of the most important centers of Gullah Geechee culture.

Possible stops include:
Penn Center • Brick Baptist Church • Chapel of Ease • Praise Houses • historic Sea Island plantation sites

Depending on local programming, we may also meet a storyteller, artist, cultural interpreter or tradition bearer and experience Gullah Geechee food.

Then we'll continue to beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina.

Live oaks. Historic homes. Waterfront views. Little shops. Coffee. Conversation.

And enough time to simply absorb the Lowcountry.

***

### 🌳 DAY 6 — THE PEOPLE WHO MADE SAVANNAH

Bonaventure Cemetery • Art • Mystery

We'll begin beneath the live oaks and Spanish moss of Bonaventure Cemetery.

But this isn't simply a cemetery tour.

With an expert guide, it becomes an outdoor museum filled with sculpture, symbolism, history—and stories about the fascinating people who once called Savannah home.

Next we'll explore Savannah's artistic heritage at the Telfair Museums, including Divided Loyalties: Stories of the American Revolution.

And for anyone who thinks bedtime is overrated...

👻 Optional Late-Night Paranormal Investigation
We'll enter the historic Savannah Theatre with EMF detectors, night-vision cameras and other ghost-hunting equipment.

Optional experience: $91
Brave travelers wanted.

***

### 🥂 DAY 7 — ONE LAST DAY TOGETHER

Squares • City Market • Farewell Brunch

Our final full day brings us back to the heart of Savannah.

We'll explore Ellis Square and City Market, then gather for a special Farewell Brunch at The Olde Pink House, Savannah's famous 18th-century mansion.

There may also be an opportunity to attend a special choir performance at the magnificent Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.

And then we'll do something important.

We'll talk about our week.
The history that challenged us.
The food we loved.
The things that surprised us.
The moments that made us laugh.

And the people who were strangers seven days earlier.
The trip ends. The friendships don't have to.

# 👟 IS THIS TRIP FOR YOU?

This is an active cultural trip, not a bus tour.

You should be comfortable walking approximately 2–3 miles on sightseeing days, sometimes up to a mile at a time. Savannah has cobblestones, uneven historic surfaces and historic buildings that may have stairs without elevators.

We'll walk. We'll learn. We'll eat. We'll explore.

And we'll experience Savannah instead of simply looking at it.

***

# ❤️ BUT HERE'S THE MOST IMPORTANT PART...

If you're looking at this trip and thinking:
"It sounds wonderful, but I don't have anyone to go with..."

That's exactly why this group exists.

Most of us aren't waiting for another vacation.
We're waiting for someone to go with us.
And sometimes waiting means another year passes.

You don't have to wait.

Come by yourself.

I'll take care of the planning and logistics.

Local experts will help us understand the places we're visiting.

And you'll have a small group of travelers experiencing it right beside you.

Travel solo—but not alone.

***

# 🚨 ONLY 12 TRAVELERS

This trip is intentionally small.
Not 30 people.
Not 40 people following a flag.

Twelve.

Small enough to sit around a table together.
Small enough to learn everyone's name.
Small enough to have real conversations.
And small enough that spots can disappear quickly once deposits begin coming in.

## 🌎 DON'T WAIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO SAY YES FIRST.

Maybe you arrive in Savannah knowing nobody.

Seven nights later, you've explored Civil Rights history together, tasted Lowcountry cooking, wandered beneath moss-covered oaks, mixed Prohibition cocktails, crossed the Sea Islands, shared meals, chased a ghost or two, and laughed more than you expected.

And somewhere along the way, the people you met on Day 1 stopped being "the group."

They became your travel companions.

And perhaps your friends.

### 💛 Come solo.

### 🌿 Experience Savannah together.

### 🤝 Find your tribe.

### ✈️ Start saying YES.

It's your time. Just not alone.
