Come join me on Tuesday, November 11th, for a scenic Veteran's Day morning hike + early picnic lunch at Stough Canyon in Burbank! 🌄

We’ll explore the ridgelines above the city, offering panoramic views of Burbank, downtown LA, and beyond. Along the way, we’ll take a 30-minute picnic break, so bring a light lunch and snacks, and feel free to share a little with the group!

This is an easy-to-moderate hike (~3.5 hours total), including our picnic break. The first part of the trail has a rather steep incline but the paths are wide, so not ideal for anyone with knee issues—hiking sticks are recommended if you use them. The downhill is much easier, and the trail is perfect for photos and enjoying fresh mountain air.

Trail Details:

  • Distance: ~3.0–4.0 miles round-trip
  • Elevation Gain: ~600–800 ft (up to the Wishing Tree)
  • Pace: Steady, comfortable; plenty of stops for views and photos

What to Bring:

  • Water (essential!)
  • Lunch and snacks

  • Hat and/or Sun protection
  • Hiking sticks if needed

*Note - Leashed dogs are welcome!
