About Chooake
Chooake Wongwattanasilpa, based in Singapore, is the current Executive Director of User Experience and Design at DBS Bank, a role he has held since March 2016. As a key member of DBS Consumer Banking Group’s Regional Digital, Chooake provides 🏅 best in class experience for all digital channel, 🔭 vision for core experience roadmap , and 🎯 leadership to design a joyful experience across banking, wealth management and payment.
Chooake’s ability to influence, to 🤝 co-create & co-design with other teams leaders and executives helps transforming the way DBS deliver digital experience to customers in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan; pioneering new way to bank in India, Indonesia and China.
Chooake was also DBS Bank’s Senior Vice President of the company's Consumer Banking Group from April 2014. Chooake has been involved in delivering major digital initiatives like Remittance, eWallet and Payment, Wealth Management digital platform, Mobile Banking App, Internet Banking, Iconic iBanking Login Page, regional rollouts of best in class digital channel, and 2017 ANZ Digital Channels’s Integration.
Prior to DBS, Chooake was the Head of User Experience Design (Asia Pacific) for PayPal in Singapore, responsible for building their APAC operations. Chooake spent 7+ years at PayPal with other roles including Senior Manager of User Experience Design (Jan 2010 - Aug 2013) and Manager of User Interface Design (Oct 2006 - Dec 2009). Chooake also worked at Motorola Mobile Devices and supported the design of the Motorola Razr’s multimedia application from Dec 2005 - Oct 2006. Chooake was the Design Lead responsible for User Interactive Interface for Morningstar from September 2000 - November 2005.
Chooake attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and obtained his Masters in Visual Communication in 2000, his BA in Graphic Design and Advertising from Columbia College in 1999, and his BA in Visual Communication Arts from Assumption University of Thailand in 1996.

We're hoping to keep the session really informal and casual where it is more conversational centric so bring along some of your burning questions to the session. The value of the meetup is as good as the questions asked :)
