Programme

TALK: What's the role of AI in Design?
As AI continues to advance, what implications does this hold for design professionals? André Fangueiro, head of design at Tietoevry, a leading digital services and software company in the Nordics, will showcase how AI is enhancing both productivity and the quality outputs, highlighting the integral relationship between human expertise and technology. This session will offer a hands-on approach to incorporating AI throughout the UX lifecycle, from developing effective development process and optimisation of workflows.

André brings over 20 years of experience in design, product management, and business innovation, collaborating with global brands across diverse industries. Originally from Porto, he studied Multimedia Design and product design, before furthering his education with a master’s degree in Design and Structures from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. In 2014, André founded Human-lab, his design and business innovation firm, and was part of the team winning the 2017 IF Award Gold for Canon and an IF Award for Dolfi, a portable washing machine. His work on Invacare Medical was showcased at the TATE Museum in London in 2018. As Head of Design at Tietoevry, André continues to drive innovation, leading teams to develop advanced solutions that foster business growth and create impactful user experiences.

INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION:
What would a philosopher say about the integration of AI in our design work?
There will be an interactive installation where attendees can pose questions, concerns, or general thoughts about design and AI with multiple AI generated philosophers such as Confucius and Nietzche. The responses will be gathered and posted without the original prompts to generate ideas and interesting conversations! The installation will be set up and guided by designers and creative technologists from frog.
