#72 IXDA SVG Meetup: The Visual Meal

Details
One dish is served on a ceramic branch, another on a plate with real chicken feet and a third on a plate made from tulle fabric - today's restaurant experiences are visual and conceptual. Ambitious chefs strive to give their guests new perspectives and reflections through the food they serve and how they present it, and many of them look to Stavanger to find out how to serve the dishes they have developed.
From a compact microfactory on the east side, Odd Standard has spent the past ten years changing the perception of what a plate can be, and innovated using the most basic materials.
Constance and Tonje are industrial designers with over twenty five years of international experience in the design and development of plates and within ceramic production. With a playful and significantly hands-on approach to product development, they run Odd Standard as a design studio and microfactory.
They will tell their story, with a special focus on how they work with design and development.
