Mathias is Head of Design at Kolumbus, the public transport authority in Rogaland.
He is a product designer educated at NTNU and spent several years as a designer and design manager at Laerdal Medical before moving into public transport.
Kolumbus has been a pioneer in digital innovation within public transport for over a decade, from being one of the first in the world to offer real-time bus location data, to more recent solutions like automatic distance-based ticketing and stopping of buses from app.
“Public transport is the perfect service design challenge, so trivial, yet so complex, and something everyone can relate to,” Mathias says.
In his talk, he’ll talk about the process, the products, and about running like mad to catch the bus.
