Accessibility, the followup: A scientist's and a practitioner's point of view

Details

Ok. We promised we'll reschedule our accessibility event. So here it goes.
Let's get hands-on and in detail for this talk. This series of talk will be full of examples, use cases and demos !

It starts with a brief introduction on the legal regulatory framework and the current situation of accessibility in Switzerland.
Then comes a presentation of the various obstacles and difficulties encountered by people with special needs, with the aid of various examples and case studies.
This is followed by an overview of current research work in the field of accessibility and inclusive design, highlighting the benefits of accessibility-design for disabled and non-disabled users.
After a critical review of the accessibility-concept, the talk concludes with recommendations for practitioners to ensure the best possible experience for all users.
