Building Codes – Crucial for Energy Savings & Comfort, May 26

The City of Golden has been engaging citizens and professionals on adopting state-of-the-art buildings codes to more closely align with the city's approved sustainability goals.
Independent labs have studied the impact of new codes, finding that their small cost increases are justified because these costs are offset later because it is cheaper to heat and cool if built to code.

Hear from Jim Meyers, the Buildings Program Director for the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP, swenergy.org). One of their divisions centers on building energy code advancements.
