Music Meetup and Open Mic at Freeside Atlanta
Music Meetup and Open Mic at Freeside Atlanta
**Welcome to [Freeside!](freesideatlanta.org)** Whether you're a seasoned musician with a thing for local scenes, or a fledgling ukulele player trying to get on a stage for the first time, you'll find a microphone waiting for you at the Music Meetup and Open Mic at Freeside Atlanta. Our open mic works a little different. To stretch those musical muscles, we start off the evening with a new activity each month at 7:30 and then proceed to a traditional open mic at 8:30. After the open mic, we open the stage up for a free jam that lasts until the last person leaves the room. **Schedule** * 7:00 PM - Doors * 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM - Activity and Sign-up * 8:30 to 10:30 - Open Mic Freeside is a member run space, completely dependent on the hard work and dedication of its members and volunteers. While the event is free, we have a suggested donation of 5-10 dollars in order to keep the event going and to improve the space for future events! All proceeds go into improving the space so more amazing people can rock this stage. **While we do not serve alcohol, the event is BYOB so feel free to bring your own drinks.**

Group Kambo & Rapeh - ATL
Group Kambo & Rapeh - ATL
🐸 Kambo: Atlanta GA, 11AM for a group gathering of Kambo & Rapeh. Complete both forms in each link to participate: Kambo Prep: https://forms.gle/aVSWGLJRT1s2DYsZ9 Participation Form: https://forms.gle/gskyi3SkZqeFvc1K7 After completion of the forms above, we will email / call you to continue your registration. lightofarjenis@gmail.com. ## Kambo Cleanse **What is Kambo?** Kambo is the waxy secretion of a tree frog living in the northwestern part of the Amazon rainforest. The scientific name for this frog is "Phyllomedusa bicolor" or "Giant Monkey Frog". It has traditionally been used by indigenous people to get rid of "panema" or bad luck, which allows life to become easier and flow more effortlessly. Kambo was used for amplifying hunting skills and to cleanse, strengthen and energize the minds and bodies of tribal hunters. Kambo enabled them to have increased speed and stamina, eat less and sleep less during the hunt. **Spiritual Aspects of Kambo**. Kambo is a spiritual practice. The frog helps to connect us with our innate wisdom and shows us what we can do in order to improve our situation in life. During Kambo treatments, we can receive insights, and changes that we need to make can be revealed. Kambo can enable us to end unhealthy habits and thought patterns and allow us to become more open to receive guidance from Spirit. ## Rapéh Ceremony Rapéh is a sacred traditional Amazonian snuff that connects us to the Spirit of the forest. It is made from sacred tobacco leaf, seeds, spices, bark, herbs, and is prepared with prayers and healing intentions. Rapéh is blown into the nose using a pipe or what's called a tepi. The self applicator is known as a kuripé. During a Kambo treatment, rapéh can be used to help in the release of blockages and purging. It can also be used for headaches, sinus problems and to ground and center and intensify concentration. Rapéh is also used in ayahuasca ceremonies. Rapéh is great for quieting the the mind and countering anxiety, manifestation, channelling and meditation. *We also have rapéh for purchase*

Join us for a nice brisk 3 mile hike around Piedmont Park. Meet at the park walking entrance on 10th just past Jason's Deli and the apartments and before Argonne. We meet at 10a. At 10:10a we'll head out on our walk n talk around Piedmont Park: past the lake, to the fountains, down the belt line, by the dog park, the meadow and then return to the 10th street entrance. This is an easy mostly flat hike and a great opportunity to meet fellow hikers. Those wanting more exercise can do the loop a second time. Piedmont Park is very dog friendly if you wish to bring them. On-street Parking is usually available in the area. If not there is paid parking at the Botanical Gardens but give yourself 30 minutes to walk from the parking deck to where we are gathering on 10th street. Midtown Marta station is a few blocks from where we meet. There is no attendee limit on this event. See you there!

CAYA Church ATL - Launch Gathering
CAYA Church ATL - Launch Gathering
**For people who know there must be more to faith than what we were given.** CAYA Church (Come As You Are) is a new spiritual gathering in Atlanta exploring how the timeless teachings of Jesus can guide real life today—without the rigid structures, cultural baggage, or fear-based religion that many people have walked away from. This is a place for **spiritual thinkers, seekers, believers, and explorers** who still believe faith matters but want a deeper and more honest conversation about it. Led by **[Addam from Adam](https://www.keen.com/love-relationships/addam-melchizedek/12436612)**, CAYA is built around four powerful truths Jesus revealed about the human relationship with the Creator and life itself: **Creator Guardianship** Life has a source, and that source is good. The Creator is the origin of goodness, design, and guidance in human life. **Self Custodianship** We are entrusted with our choices, posture, and alignment. Spiritual growth requires responsibility for our own lives. **Creature Guardianship** Every human being is sacred. Their dignity, freedom, and self-determination deserve protection and respect. **Future Stewardship** How we live today shapes the future for ourselves and for those who come after us. These principles echo the deeper spirit of Jesus’ teachings about love, mercy, responsibility, and alignment with God. # What Makes CAYA Different **Spiritual but not rigid** We explore the wisdom of Jesus alongside insights from psychology, philosophy, and spiritual traditions that support truth, love, and human dignity. **Open to many spiritual perspectives** People from Christian, contemplative, mystical, and New Age backgrounds are welcome—as long as the spirit of the conversation supports growth, responsibility, and compassion. **Focused on real-life transformation** Faith is not just belief. It’s about how we live, choose, forgive, grow, and build meaningful lives. **Honest spiritual practice** Our gatherings include teaching, reflection, confession, prayer, and a shared ritual centered on the life and message of Jesus. **Community over performance** This is not about religious performance. It’s about people learning, growing, and supporting each other in living with deeper faith and alignment. **What Happens at a Gathering** Each gathering typically includes: • A thought-provoking talk or teaching • Guided reflection and spiritual realignment • A symbolic ritual centered on Jesus’ life and message • Conversation and fellowship with others on a spiritual journey **Who This Community Is For** You might resonate with CAYA if you: • Grew up religious but are searching for a deeper understanding • Still value Jesus’ teachings but want a broader spiritual conversation • Are “spiritual but not religious” and curious about faith again • Want a supportive community for spiritual growth • Believe spirituality should help people thrive on earth, not escape it **Gatherings: 1st & 3rd Sundays – 2026** Come curious. Come thoughtful. Come as you are. ***
