BOOK SWAP IN THE PARK - Come with a book, leave with a book!
Details
Dear Book Lovers, this is your dream event. It's a book swap! Come with a book, leave with a book. This time we will do it in the park!
There are two simple rules:
- You need to come with a book
- You leave with a book (it's not a lend, it's a swap!)
- You can come with more than one book of course: You come with X books & you leave with X books!
It's pretty difficult to find books in Jakarta, so this is a perfect occasion to find a new read. Perhaps you need some inspiration on your next book. Or maybe you just want to mingle with fellow book lovers and talk about literature?
Let's have breakfast or coffee while swapping books and talking about literature! The book swap will be at GBK City Park, weather permitting. If it will be raining, we will find an alternative solution. The park is just 5 minutes away from MRT Istora Mandiri Follow the instruction on the uploaded picture to find the spot.
Bring a blanket and mosquito repellent, perhaps some food and drink you want to share with others! After the sun sets we can go somewhere and find a place to have a bite (to be decided together).
Bring your favourite book, a book you hated, that book you never read, a book you have twice, a book you could not go past 20 pages, a book you read too many times, or a book which is just meh. It doesn't matter which one. We will meet at a café and exchange books! Come with a book, leave with a book!
I recommend to bring a book in English, but if you don't have any, a book in any language will do.
The event is totally FOR FREE. Just pay what you consume. Arrive on time to secure your favourite book.
It will be fun and easy, and I will explain everything on the day. Just come with a book and enjoy!
Please update RSVP at least 24h before the event as a courtesy to the organiser and the other attendees. Repeated no-shows will be removed from the group. Thank you for your understanding.
For any question not answered in the event descirption feel free to DM me. See you then!
