Jakarta Tech Talk - Preventing Neonatal Brain Damage

Details
Every year, 10 million newborns are at high risk of brain damage, which can lead to severe sequelae and create a significant financial burden for families and governments. PBSF is transforming neonatal care by offering an AI-powered, multimodal monitoring solution that can detect critical events up to eight hours in advance, thereby minimizing neurological damage.
By leveraging AI, edge computing, Java, Jakarta EE, and Eclipse MicroProfile, we are evolving our platform to provide a more resilient, scalable, and predictive solution. Our approach combines cutting-edge software with healthcare as a service, connecting hospitals and healthcare professionals to implement effective neuroprotection strategies.
In this presentation, we will demonstrate how we utilize Jakarta EE technologies (such as CDI, JAX-RS, and WebSockets) and MicroProfile features (including Config, Health, Fault Tolerance, Telemetry, and JWT) to ensure availability, resilience, performance, and developer productivity.
