Jun 29, 9 AM ~ Hike 22nd Street Park Entrance to the Mayo Bridge

Details
It's almost the end of June so what could be better than a 4.5mile hike that starts and ends (very convenient) in the 22nd Street parking lot for access to the Buttermilk Trail. We will follow the Buttermilk Trail to the Flood Wall and the Mayo Bridge. We will cross the river on this historic bridge and follow the Pipeline to Brown's Island. Tredegar Street takes us to Belle Isle. From Belle Isle we will gain the Reedy Creek Trail for our return to the starting point.
This is anticipated to be a hike over paved walkways, city streets and rustic riverside paths. Some ability to negotiate tree roots, rustic trails, low hanging vines, uneven pavement, toxic plants, culverts, reptiles, damp trail conditions, stairs, spider webs, tall vegetation, fallen trees, scorpions, birds of prey, migratory waterfowl, and river rocks is desirable.
This hike will begin at the posted time, not five or ten minutes later. If you are unfamiliar with the meet up location, add a few minutes to your travel schedule so you can find us. If you need directions to the Meet Up location click on the map that is found under "How to find us" in the event description. A large map will be displayed from which directions to the Meet Up location can be obtained by clicking "Directions" in the upper left corner.
