Jul 20, 9 AM - Riverview Cemetery to the Mayo Bridge Hike

Details
- This five mile hike will begin and end in the Riverview Cemetery.
- * 1401 S. Randolph St is a GPS reference, NOT the Meet Up location! You must travel 0.57 mile through the cemetery to reach to parking area. See map & photo. *
- We will access the North Bank Trail from Riverview Cemetery and follow it eastbound to Brown's Island where we will cross the river on the Potterfield Bridge. After viewing the city skyline from the Manchester Overlook we will continue our southbound odyssey on the Flood Wall to the Mayo Bridge.
We'll then re-cross the river and begin the return to our starting point by way of the Canal Walk or the Pipeline, the Mural Gallery and the North Bank Trail.
This hike will be over varying terrain with some elevation changes. Participants should be able to maintain a pace of twenty-five minutes per mile, negotiate rocks, tree roots, fallen trees, damp trail conditions, stairways, rustic trails, steep ascents, low hanging vines and branches, culverts, uncertain footing on hills, spider webs, river rocks, scorpions, birds of prey, shade, migratory waterfowl, and reptiles. The Potterfield Bridge decking is not suitable for some dog traffic so the best plan is to leave them home this time.
