Deep Run Park has an extensive area of woodlands, small streams, ponds and a swampy creek bed with boardwalk. The trails are mostly shaded either asphalt or gravel with gradual elevation. This will be an easy ramble. We will ramble less than 3 miles.
The park is located in western Henrico County, Virginia at the northwest corner of Gaskins Road and Ridgefield Parkway. From the main entrance off of Ridgefield Parkway, park in the second parking lot on the right (adjacent the family shelter). Parking is free (see map).
We will meet at the trailhead at the entrance of the second parking lot on the RIGHT near the main road up the hill (see photo).
