May 16, 10AM: Midlo Mines Social Walk

Who is up for a relaxing and social stroll through Midlothian Mines park on a sunny day? This trip will take us on a nice walk with plenty of things to see. We will pass the historic mining structures in multiple places on the main loop and then see the small pond called “Loch Lothian”. Not to mention all the nice birds that will be out and about.
This walk will be on mostly level ground with a normal walking pace. We will start by the main stage and go through the tunnel to the other side of the park and do the main loop twice and then go to and around the pond area and finish at the parking lot. About 2.5 miles overall.

Where to meet: Meet at the large stage just to the side of the main parking lot. It is a large structure that is easy to see. If you have any questions please let me know.

Parking is free. Parking in the main lot is best, however there is a secondary lot across the street that you can park in. If you park in the secondary lot you can cross the street to get to the stage.
