Virginia Kennel Club Dog Show Photo Opportunity

For those of you who don't know, Carrie DeJan is a professional dog show photographer. At our June 5th meeting, Carrie said she would see if she could arrange for members to attend and photograph the Virginia Kennel Club Show in Doswell, Virginia.

Thanks to Carrie, the JRCC has been granted permission to attend the Virginia Kennel Club Dog Show, without a vendor fee, on June 22, 2025, at the Meadow Event Center in Doswell, VA. It's about 1.5 hours from Newport News. Parking is $5 per car. Show hours are usually 8 am-6 pm. Carrie DeJan will be there all day.

Basic dog show etiquette for club members:

• No flash to distract dogs
• Stay clear of ring gates
• Do not block or impede exhibitors going to and from rings
• Be aware of your surroundings at all times
• Do not do anything that might distract or startle dogs while competing
• No tripods or monopods

The Kennel Club would love any photos JRCC members are willing to share but asks that we do not approach exhibitors. If an exhibitor asks about photos, you can refer them to the Kennel Club.
