About us
JRCC was formed in 1945 and is one of the oldest, continuing photography clubs in Virginia. Our mission is to offer programs and activities of interest to the beginning photographer as well as the professional. We have a number of professionals in our membership who contribute exceptional programs frequently for our membership and guests. We aspire to advance the art and craft of photography aesthetically and technically for all who wish to participate.
Note: Any photograph submitted to the club and/or posted by a member remains owned by and with the copyright of the member. The JRCC has a limited license to exhibit these photos for the purpose they were submitted.
If you want to join James River Camera Club, just show up at any meetup posted and you can meet folks and decide if you would like it. We try to meet in person each month.

Water and light snacks will be available, but since we are eating afterwards, there won't be a lot at the studio.Cook out info:
Jess will be sending out a sign-up form so that people can put down what they are bringing. Keep eyes out for that. For the cookout, you are welcome to bring guests. Please bring a folding chair for each person, as there is limited seating available. We will get the grill going and everyone can hang out, have some food, some fun and relax. We are contemplating some type of game or something (maybe photography related) to do, but otherwise, we are just chilling.
There will be 2 dogs but they are very friendly. They will bark when new people 1st get to the house. Keep that in mind if you or your guests are afraid of dogs or are allergic to them.
The address to the house will be sent to people who are registered the day before the event, as we don't want that posted on Meetup.
