About us
JRCC was formed in 1945 and is one of the oldest, continuing photography clubs in Virginia. Our mission is to offer programs and activities of interest to the beginning photographer as well as the professional. We have a number of professionals in our membership who contribute exceptional programs frequently for our membership and guests. We aspire to advance the art and craft of photography aesthetically and technically for all who wish to participate.
Note: Any photograph submitted to the club and/or posted by a member remains owned by and with the copyright of the member. The JRCC has a limited license to exhibit these photos for the purpose they were submitted.
If you want to join James River Camera Club, just show up at any meetup posted and you can meet folks and decide if you would like it. We try to meet in person each month.

Temple Baptist Church, 235 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA, USOur club's exhibit at the Torggler Gallery was a wonderful experience as we got to see our work in a physical form. This meeting will focus on how to prepare and setup your digital files for printing so that they display properly.
This meeting will enable you to get a photo printed prior to our July meeting where we will take a look at some photos printed by our members. Our speaker will be Wilson Hurst of Fords Colony. Mr. Hurst has quite the CV which you can see at this link:

I urge you to take a look at his record and be prepared to ask as many questions as you like. This will be an opportunity to get information from a master of his subject.
We received a request to set up a Zoom meeting for a member out of town. Here is the link if you are attending via Zoom:
