The Art of Seeing: Success in Photography is in the Details
Details
Many photographers focus heavily on cameras, lenses, and technical settings, yet still struggle to create compelling photographs. The real challenge is often not the equipment, but the ability to recognize meaningful moments, interesting light, and visual opportunities before pressing the shutter.
In this presentation, award-winning photographer and educator Joe Edelman explores the idea of “seeing” as the most important skill a photographer can develop. Participants will learn how to slow down, observe their surroundings more carefully, and recognize the visual elements that turn ordinary scenes into strong photographs. By developing a more thoughtful approach to observation and awareness, photographers will gain practical tools that help them discover better images wherever they shoot.
Mr. Edelman will appear via Zoom. The club meeting will still be held at Temple Baptist Church and we can watch the presentation together. The Zoom link can be provided upon request.
No recording other than the official JRCC recording is permitted.
