Photo Challenge: No sh*t, I took this in my backyard!

Yes, you read it correctly. Our March-April 2026 Photo Challenge will be photos taken in your yard. Front or back yard doesn’t matter. Just set up a chair in the yard and take some photos. Let’s see how creative you can be.

Remember: This is just a placeholder for a two month long event taking place in March and April. You don't have to sign up here. I will add the link to the Smugmug gallery in 2026.

We are giving this a try after the discussions during the last several monthly Photo Contest discussions. I always ask the members who submit photos, “Where did you take this photo?” Well, about half of the time, the response was, “In my backyard.”

So, now is the time to take advantage of your location!
Remember, you can process your photos however you wish but totally AI photos don’t count. You can make a composite photo but all the material must be yours!

You have two months to get some photos taken and processed. We will set up a Smugmug gallery for you to upload your photos. In May of 2026, we will check out the results.

This could be fun. Looking forward to seeing what we come up with.
