Photo Shoot With Models

IMPORTANT: JESS WAKEFIELD HAS PUT A LOT OF EFFORT INTO THIS PROGRAM. IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND, PLEASE SIGN UP IN ADVANCE. ALSO, IF YOU SIGN UP, WE EXPECT YOU TO ATTEND. JESS IS MAKING HER RENTED SPACE AND EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE TO THE CLUB. SHE IS ALSO GETTING THE MODELS, SO MAKE AN EFFORT TO ATTEND. IF YOU SIGN UP; ATTEND!

We are planning on having 4-5 models, so you will have a variety of subjects to photograph. We will provide them with information about outfits, so there will be a variety of looks that you can get.

There will be 3 shooting stations inside. Some models will bring a jacket and a hat in case we want to do some outdoor shots as well. Backgrounds and lighting equipment will be provided. We have a few Godox triggers and a universal trigger available, so hopefully that will cover everyone. If you have a Godox or Godox-compatible trigger, please bring it. We also encourage you to bring some random props and whatnot to use in the images if you want.

For things to bring, our suggestions are:

• Camera
• Tripod (if you feel like you need one)
• Portrait lenses (Whatever you have, but maybe in the range of 50mm, 85mm, 24-70mm)
• A studio flash trigger (We will be using Godox lights, so if you have a Godox trigger, please bring it. We will supply for people who don't have one)
• Reflector, external flash, or wireless light in case you want to do things outside (weather permitting)
• Warm clothes in case you want to photograph outside
• Anything extra you want to add - props, accessories, fun elements. Use your imagination and use this as a time to play, experiment, and have fun
• Model releases if you plan to post images to websites, social media, etc.

The plan for the day:

10am - 1st model arrives.
10-10:45am - We will cover some basic posing/lighting information and talk about the details of the day
10:30am - Other models arrive
10:45 - 2pm (or whenever we get tired of it) - People break out to different stations and begin photographing. Feel free to move to different stations so that you can try different things. The models will rotate stations and also change clothes, so that you can get multiple looks throughout the day.

There will be 3 indoor stations:

• 1 with 2 studio lights
• 1 with 1 studio light and possibly a background light with the option to use gels
• 1 station using only window light. If it is cloudy or yucky outside, we will add a studio light to help.

Outdoors is an option if the weather permits

All photographers need to commit to giving images to the models after the event. Models are usually given 5 (edited) digital photos, but you can give more if you want. If editing is not something that you do, no problem, just give them the best you can. Remember that they need these images to promote themselves. We will have a smug mug gallery set up where you can upload the images, and they will be able to download the images from there. Please provide your images to the models no later than 3 weeks after the event.
