今後暫くのミーットアップをズームというアプリでヴィデオチャットで行います。
ズーム・アプリを予めPC,MAC,スマホ、タブレットにインストールしておいて下さい。

今回からいつもより一時間遅く８時CDT、６時PDTより一時間程度行う予定です。

URLは開始１０分前に公開します。

ビデオチャットに参加される方はRSVPして頂くとありがたいです。

勉強用にプリントしたものを配ることがありますが、紙を無駄にしないようにＲＳＶＰしている人の分だけしかプリントは用意しません。出席するときは必ずＲＳＶＰしてください。

日本語を学習中の中級レベル以上の方と日本人で日本語学習の手伝いのボランティアをしてくださる方のどちらも大歓迎です。

このミートアップに来る人は日本語を話す練習が目的ですから、出席者は日本語以外話さないでください。英語を話すことは、他の参加者にとって迷惑になると思ってください。例外として日本人の英語学習中の方に英語を教えるときは英語を話しても良いです。

参加を希望する人は時間内であれば、途中からでも途中まででも参加していただけます。ミートアップで使うテキストというのはありませんから、参加者が積極的に学習したいものを持って来てください。ご自分で勉強中のテキストをもってきて質問してくださっても結構です。

このミートアップは予告なくキャンセルされたり、場所が変更されることもあります。参加予定の人はRSVPをしておくと変更の時はお知らせが行きます。RSVPは必ずしてください。

 
 
 

This is a Japanese speakers meet up in Georgetown, TX!
We meet outside out back of Lamppost coffee. Simply walk straight through the building to the backdoor and you'll see tables out back. The business closes at 9PM, so we should wrap up by 8:50.
There's a parking lot a block south of the establishment.
PAYMENT: Since we are using business property, we ask you purchase something from the establishment. $5 should cover most drinks. Coffee, teas (black and matcha), and sodas are available as well as baked goods.

We are open to speakers of many levels, including beginners, BUT:

1. You need to know hiragana (and hopefully katakana)!!!
2. We want you to try your best to speak in Japanese, not English. Don't be shy; ask for help!
3. Try not to digress conversation to talking about study habits and anime.

HOMEWORK:
If you've NEVER been to one of our meetups before: your homework is to write out and practice giving your self introduction (自己紹介) in Japanese. Minimum 3 sentences. Here's some templates to start with:
"I am [your name]." = 私(わたし)は[your name]です。
"I have been studying Japanese for [#] years." = 私は日本語(にほんご)を[#]年(ねん)ぐらい勉強(べんきょう)しています。 [#] could be 1 (いち), 2 (に), 3 (さん).

If you HAVE been to one of our meetups: your homework is to tell us alittle bit about something in Japan you like, place you want to visit, or simply a topic that interests you... in Japanese. Here are some prompts for ideas:
- Trains
- Olympics (Nagano, Tokyo)
- Ryokan (旅館)
