About us
Welcome to Japanese & Asian Social Circle (Phoenix Downtown)
This group is mainly designed for adults in their 20s and 30s who are interested in Japanese culture, Asian culture, language exchange, food, travel, local life, and meeting respectful new people in Phoenix.
We focus on two main types of events:
- 🍻 Friday Nomikai (After-Work Social)
Most Fridays, we explore bars, beer gardens, and casual spots around Downtown Phoenix, inspired by Japanese after-work “Nomikai” culture. It’s a relaxed way to meet new people, enjoy conversation, and discover new local places. - ☕ Weekend Language & Culture Exchange
On weekends, we visit different cafés around Phoenix for casual language exchange and cultural conversations. Whether you speak Japanese, are learning Japanese, or simply enjoy cultural exchange, everyone is welcome. - We also host occasional social activities such as bowling, food meetups, and local events as the community grows.

Our goal is to create a friendly, relaxed, and respectful community where people can make new friends, build local connections, and enjoy meaningful conversations in a comfortable environment.

This is not a pickup or sales-focused group. We value respectful behavior, clear boundaries, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Our events are adults-only, smoke-free, and cannabis-free. Some events may be 21+ depending on the venue. Event size, age guidelines, and venue-specific rules will be listed on each event page.

Many members join solo, so don’t worry if you come alone.

Most events will be held in English, but Japanese speakers and learners are always welcome.

Phoenix周辺で、日本文化・アジア文化・言語交換・食事・カフェ・軽い飲み会やアクティビティを通じて、自然に友達や人脈を広げるための大人向け交流グループです。
主に20代〜30代の大人を中心に、Phoenixで新しいつながりを作りたい方、日本語を話したい方、日本文化に興味がある方を歓迎します。
主なイベントは：
🍻 金曜夜のNomikai（飲み会）
Downtown Phoenix周辺のバーやビアガーデンなどを巡りながら、日本の「仕事後の飲み会」文化を気軽に楽しみます。
☕ 週末昼のLanguage Exchange
Phoenix周辺のいろいろなカフェを巡りながら、日本語・英語・文化交流を楽しみます。
今後はボーリング、食事会、ローカルイベントなども企画予定です。
ナンパ目的や営業目的のグループではなく、礼儀と距離感を大切にした安心できる交流の場を目指しています。
