# Japanese Study Room with Noriko

Welcome!
This group is for Japanese learners who would like to build a regular study habit and have a dedicated time each week to focus on Japanese.

## What is a Japanese Study Room?

This is not a formal Japanese class.
This is also not a conversation club or a language exchange event.
Participants bring their own study materials and study independently during the session. You can review grammar, prepare for the JLPT, read Japanese books, learn vocabulary, listen to podcasts, or work on any other Japanese learning goal.
As a Japanese teacher, I will be available to answer questions and provide support when needed.

## Who is this group for?

This group is recommended for learners at approximately A2–B2 level who are comfortable studying independently.
You should be able to:

  • Read hiragana and katakana
  • Use your own study materials
  • Study independently for most of the session

## Session Format

  1. Brief goal-setting at the beginning
  2. Independent study time
  3. Questions and support when needed
  4. Brief reflection at the end

Most of the session will be quiet study time.

## Rules

  • Please bring your own study materials.
  • Please respect the quiet study environment.
  • Questions are welcome.
  • This is not a language exchange group.
  • This is not a conversation practice event.
  • Please be respectful to all participants.

## Technical Requirements

Please prepare:

  • A free Zoom account
  • A stable internet connection
  • A microphone
  • Your own study materials

## Participation Fee

Regular participation fee: €5 per session.
The first sessions may be offered free of charge while the format is being tested and improved.

## Pilot Phase

This group is currently in a pilot phase.
The format may change based on participant feedback and experience.

## About the Organizer

Hi, I'm Noriko from Osaka, Japan, currently living in Brussels, Belgium.
I work as an online Japanese teacher and enjoy learning languages myself. I am currently studying French, English, and Italian, so I understand both the joys and challenges of language learning.
I look forward to studying with you!
