What we’re about

Anyone who is looking to devote some time self-studying Japanese, in particular for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test-JLPT (any level) should come on out to the coffee shop and surround themselves with others studying for the test. We can share resources, practice with each other, but in general this can just serve as a regular fixed time to sit down and study instead of cramming a month or two before the test. Feel free to come and stay for as long as you'd like!

Im thinking of hosting at the Starbucks in Oakland at 30th/Broadway, most likely on the weekends but perhaps add the occasional weekday evening option at another location there open later.

The meetup is free, but any donations (Venmo: middle65) to help me pay for the required organizer subscription monthly fee (I paid about $90/6months) would be greatly appreciated.
