桑の実ハイキング Wild Mulberry Forage Trail Hike Part 2 June 1st

Details
Every year we take a trail hike to forage for mulberries and other wild edibles (bamboo shoots, and other fruit) along the Tsurumi River. It's an easy hike but covers a lot of ground. Wear good shoes, and long trousers, long sleeve shirts, a hat, gloves and wet tissue wipes!(your hands will turn purple!), The berries get squished in bags so bring a plastic tupperware plastic container to bring home your gathered mulberries. Bring a lunch, drinks, snacks, bug spray. a camera, scissors, wet tissues, and an old umbrella(to gather more berries)
We are meeting at KITA SHIN YOKOHAMA subway station (One stop after Shin Yokohama station on the Blue Line) at the front entrance outside. *photo below There is a convenience store and bathroom there. Sorry, there are no bathrooms along the trail hike. We will walk along the river and have lunch under a bridge then make our way back to KitaShinYokohama station. Some may choose to walk to IKEA or the Shin Yokohama ramen museum which are close.
The hike is FREE but a donation of 500yen to the organizer would be greatly appreciated. The event is limited to 15 from Meet-up. If the weather is bad I will contact everyone the day before.
