Speaker: Sanjiva Weerawarana, Ph.D.

Sanjiva is the founder of WSO2 and the creator of Ballerina - an open source programing language for cloud-era application developers. He's a long-time open-source developer and advocate and is a Member of the Apache Software Foundation, an Emeritus Board Member of the Open Source Initiative and the Founder and Chief Scientist of the Lanka Software Foundation. He also volunteers in the Sri Lanka Army where he serves as the IT advisor. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1994.
