Details
We have 2 great topics: In the first talk Liran will be introducing Apache Camel and will show how useful it is for Lili. In the second talk Elia will show resiliency pattern from Yotpo production use cases.
Thanks to Lili for sponsoring the event!

Apache Camel @ Lili
As developers, we implement integration patterns over and over again. When we started out with Lili we decided to stop implementing integration patterns and use an off the shelf library. Camel came out as the leading framework just for that. Since then - we have not looked back. We have switched messaging platforms, saw an increased load, reshuffled our microservices - and found Camel to support all our requirements. In the session, we’ll discuss what Camel is - and how to optimize its usage.
Liran Zelkha
I’m the CTO and co-founder of Lili. In the last 20+ years I have worked with Java (starting on Java 1.2!) as a developer, consultant, architect and now as a CTO.
Resilient Microservices at Scale: Stories and Strategies from Our Journey
In this session, we’ll explore our journey of implementing resilient microservices at Yotpo. I’ll share how we implemented key resiliency patterns to protect our systems and ensure stable, reliable customer experiences. Operating at a scale, our platform processes over 100K messages per minute at peak performance and delivers up to 40 million messages daily.
Starting with foundational patterns like timeouts, retries, and fallbacks, we’ll then dive deeper into more sophisticated approaches, including circuit breakers, bulkhead patterns, and advanced queue-based communication retries—techniques essential for handling complex, high-scale challenges.
With practical coding examples using Spring Boot and the Resilience4j library, you’ll gain actionable insights into building microservices that remain reliable under pressure.
Elia Rohana
I’m a Tech Lead at Yotpo with 14 years of experience across roles as a developer, team leader, and tech leader. My expertise includes Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture. I focus on designing and building scalable, reliable systems.
I am passionate about writing clean code, crafting robust software architecture, and mentoring developers to achieve excellence. Furthermore, I believe in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, enabling teams to create software that meets the highest standards while scaling effectively.
FOOD
Light food, light drinks, and beer will be served courtesy of Lili.
RECORDING
We are recording, as always, this meetup and uploading it to our YouTube channel (be sure to subscribe), but please keep in mind asking questions about stuff you don't understand is only possible when you attend the live event.
