Hey JavaScriptLA fans, our next meetup is upon us!

Our main subject will be React.

Michael's team has been writing React apps for 4 years. They’ve made some great products and some REALLY dumb mistakes. This is the tail of two of those apps. One is React components all the way down, setState, and a huge 1000 line base component. The second is a Hacker News masterpiece with all the latest hawtness but comes with the insecurity feeling like the next big rewrite is just a month away.

We’ll explore the lessons learned building, designing, and maintaining these two apps. We’ll get back to React, exploring the overlooked APIs and uncommon patterns that make happier and healthier React developers.

React is everywhere. And, with it, a lot of bad advice.
