Just wanted to let you know that I checked on the availability of January's selection, American Bloomsbury.
The Jacksonville library system has 10 copies and it's in stock at Borders and BN, but since it's more of a backlist book instead of a front-table book, you might want to check or reserve online before you make a special trip or stop to pick it up.
I hope everyone who's reading a (or taking a look at a previously-read) Malcolm Gladwell book for the December meeting is enjoying the process. If you know any Gladwell fans or other friends who might enjoy the December meeting, I hope you forward group info and extend an invite to the December meeting to them.
Who is should join? People who like to read and (non-argumentatively!) discuss a variety of interesting thought provoking books. Women are welcome! Men are welcome! People from any and all backgrounds, welcome! Whether you remember the Great Depression or you were born during the Clinton administration, if you're a grown-up who likes to meet and chat with other adults with wide ranging interests, you are welcome. If you came to Jacksonville from any part of our big varied planet, or if you were born at the confluence of the St Johns River and the Atlantic Ocean and think anything away from the First Coast is exotic travel, YOU ARE WELCOME.
We have two slightly different meeting formats, the dinner meeting with a set book list, and the Saturday coffee shop meeting with free choice within a broad topic. If you're interested, scroll through some of the past meeting description! Feel free to message me if you have questions after you have done that.
